Adamawa’s Mildred Ehiguese Crowned New Miss Nigeria
Timothy Adegbola, LAGOS, Nigeria (GVE) – After an amazing beauty contest which featured women from different parts of the country, displaying beauty and talent last night, A new Miss Nigeria was crowned.
Miss Adamawa, Mildred Ehiguese, emerged winner at the event which was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ehiguese, the 41st Miss Nigeria replaces Chioma Obiadi of Anambra state, who emerged victorious in the 40th edition of the pageant.
Rita Chinedu, the Delta state representative, emerged the first runner-up last night as Tolulope Ayanfalu Mary, Miss Ogun, was the second runner-up.
The pageant’s organiser and publisher of The Daily Times of Nigeria, Fidelis Anosike, said the show is been used to define the Nigerian woman.
formed in 1957 with the Motto, “Empowering Women Beyond Beauty’’, the Miss Nigeria pageant is an annual show designed to showcase positive attributes of Nigerian women and award university scholarships.
